S. M. Cole is a fiction writer whose work explores memory, power, and the systems people build to preserve or erase both. Before turning to long-form fiction, Cole worked as a contract writer and editor on blogs and product reviews, developing a concise, audience-centered approach to language.

A U.S. Army veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, Cole served in Afghanistan in 2003. That experience continues to inform both structure and theme in their writing. Cole lives with family and is currently at work on the next installment of Erasure Economy - Memory. Power. Control.
